On Sept. 3, Tsinghua University President Li Luming and Nikita Anisimov, Rector of Russia’s National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University), signed an agreement to deepen collaboration in life sciences.
The pact will drive joint research and education in cutting-edge fields, including molecular biology, bio-computer engineering, molecular and computational neuroscience, bioinformatics, and AI-powered biological data analysis. This partnership is expected to accelerate interdisciplinary innovation between the two institutions.
Li Luming affirmed Tsinghua’s high regard for cooperation with Russian institutions, expressing keen interest in advancing joint efforts in academic exchange and student training to contribute to Sino-Russian educational development. Nikita Anisimov reciprocated, citing the amicable bilateral relations and a successful track record of exchanges between their faculty and students as a solid foundation for even deeper collaboration in the future.
Also in attendance were Shi Songhai, Dean of Tsinghua’s School of Life Sciences, and Liang Xin, Assistant to the Dean.
