Organized by the Office of International Affairs and the School of Life Sciences, this special event features a keynote address by Professor Anthony A. Hyman, the director of the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden. Professor Hyman’s lecture, “Biomolecular condensates and their implications for cell physiology and disease”, offers students and scholars a fascinating opportunity to delve into cutting-edge research and discoveries in the field.

Tony Hyman is a director of  the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden. The 2023 winner of the Breakthrough prize in life science, and the Körber prize pioneered the field of biomolecular condensates as an organization principle for cells. Together with Rick Young, he cofounded Dewpoint therapeutics to use the nascent ideas to develop novel medicines.
