Organized by the Office of International Affairs and School of Life Sciences, this special event features a keynote address by Professor Stefan W. Hell, 2014 Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry, Director of Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Göttingen, and Director of Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg. Professor Hell’s lecture, “Molecule-scale resolution and dynamics in fluorescence microscopy”, offers students and scholars a fascinating opportunity to delve into cutting-edge research and discoveries in the field.

Speaker : Stefan W. Hell
Stefan W. Hell directs the Max Planck Institutes in Göttingen and Heidelberg. The 2014 Nobel Prize laureate in Chemistry and Kavli Prize winner in Nanoscience pioneered fluorescence microscopy with nanometre scale resolution. Together with his student Gerald Donnert and others, he co-founded Abberior Group, a leading enterprise developing advanced super-resolution microscopy and labelling technologies.
