Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine: Directed differentiation of embryonic stem cells and tissue and organ regeneration;

Developmental Biology: Developmental mechanisms of mammalian endoderm-derived organs, including the liver and pancreas;

Systems Biology: Coordinated regulation of gene regulatory networks during development and regeneration by cell signaling and epigenetic mechanisms.
