In recent years, the School of Life Sciences has made tremendous success in research. This is demonstrated by both the quality of paper published and successful technology transfers at the School. The School has been concentrating resources to build a series of research platforms, to enable our future research and teaching. In addition, the establishment of the Tsinghua University - Peking University Center for Life Sciences (CLS) will also help to boost our research activities in the future.
In 2013, the School of Life Sciences has 234 ongoing major projects, including: more than 70 projects from Ministry of science and technology including National Program on Key Basic Research Program of China (973 Program) projects, National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program) projects and National Science and Technology Major Projects, more than 100 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, Creative Research projects, Distinguished Young Scholars projects, Key Projects and General Projects, and 17 others.
